Street Racer Collection is a forthcoming collection of four versions of Street Racer, a kart racing game that was originally released in 1994, which is one of the many kart racing games that followed in the success of the original Super Mario Kart. Indeed, publisher QUByte Interactive describes Street Racer as “mix of Mario Kart and Road Rash, “and who wouldn’t want to play that?
The four games set to be included on Street Racer Collection are the SNES, Genesis/Megadrive, MS-DOS, and Game Boy versions of the game.
Features offered by Street Racer Collection are to be up to 27 unique tracks full of shortcuts, traps, and challenges, six cartoon characters with crazy vehicles and special attacks, racing options: from a quick lap to 80-lap marathons, and local multiplayer for up to four players on the SNES, Genesis/Megadrive, and MS-DOS versions.
QUByte Interactive’s QUByte Classics line is doing a wonderful job of re-releasing retro titles for modern gamers, such as their Beat ‘Em Up Collection, which we previously reviewed, and enjoyed very much.
While a release date for Street Racer Collection has not yet been announced, there is already a Steam page for the collection, and in addition to Steam, Street Racer Collection is also set to speed onto Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4&5, and Xbox One & Xbox Series X|S.
