We previously reported that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was to be one of three Konami titles to be ported from NES to SNES this year by the prolific NES to SNES fan porter Infidelity, along with Super C, and Contra Force, and now, it is the first of the three Konami NES to SNES ports to be made available to download

The original NES version of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles received a re-release on modern formats in 2022. via Digital Eclipse’s Cowabunga Collection compilation of classic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles games.

When we previously ranked Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles games for NES, Konami’s original 1989 game came fourth on our list.

Infidelity’s NES to SNES port of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is available to download now from his Archive page, along with all of his previous NES to SNES fan ports, which include titles such as Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda, Metroid, Contra, Mike Tyson’s Punch Out, Ninja Gaiden Trilogy, Duck Tales, and various games in the Mega Man series.

~One thing to note about Infidelity’s NES to SNES ports, is that he does not upgrade the graphics from 8-bit to 16-bit, and when asked about this on X, Infidelity said that he is “not a gfx artist,” and that he simply ports the games over, as his “strong suit is code, adding that those “with the graphical prowess and know how to work the snes, can easily 16-bit’ify [his] ports.”
