Critically-acclaimed Pulp Thriller The Drifter Now Available For Switch And Switch 2

The Drifter is a pixel art point-and-click title originally released on PC in 2025 by developer Powerhoof and was critically lauded by players and critics alike. Now, the game has been ported to Nintendo Switch 1 and 2 and has had some upgrades. It’s out now on both consoles, with a free upgrade pack for those moving from Switch 1 to 2, priced at $19.99. To coincide with the Switch launch, Powerhoof has premiered a new accolades trailer, showcasing a selection of the awards and critical acclaim the game has garnered.

The Nintendo Switch 2 edition of The Drifter supports up to 4K and 120fps, delivering extra crisp pixel art and improved frame rates for ultra-smooth parallax scrolling. Players can swap between twin-stick and traditional point-and-click controls with the Joy-Con 2 mouse sensor functionality.

Key features in The Drifter:

A Pulp Adventure Thriller from the minds that brought you Crawl.

An engrossing roller-coaster of a story, drawing on King, Crichton and Carpenter, with a dash of 70s Aussie grindhouse.

Point ‘n Click or Controller using twin-stick controls built ground up for both handheld and couch play.

Bursting with raw, crunchy pixel art and high-impact animation.

Professionally voice-acted, with a brooding dark-synth cinematic score.
