90s Arcade Fighter The Outfoxies gets First Ever Home Release Tomorrow

The Outfoxies has been announced as this week’s release in Hamster Corporation’s Arcade Archives and Arcade Archives 2 lines of emulated arcade titles, following last week’s release of Roc’n’Rope, on which we reported previously.

This week’s game, The Outfoxies, is a fighting game that was originally released into arcade by Namco back in 1995.

Hamster Corporation describes The Outfoxies as follows: “You select one of the world’s top assassins as your protagonist, and under the orders of a mysterious billionaire, your mission is to eliminate all the others.
Whether for the reward, for pride, or simply for the thrill of combat…
A no-rules showdown among the world’s most dangerous professionals is about to begin!”

Despite being 30 years old, these Arcade Archives and Arcade Archives 2 releases of The Oufoxies are the first time the game has received a home release, after a planned PlayStation port in 1995 was cancelled.

The Arcade Archives version of The Outfoxies will be released on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 tomorrow (December 18th, 2015), priced at $14.99 USD, or local equivalent.

The Arcade Archives 2 version of the game will be released on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S at the same time, priced at $16.99 USD, or local equivalent.

As usual, purchasers of the Arcade Archives version of the game on PlayStation 4 can upgrade to the Arcade Archives 2 version on PlayStation 5 for $2.99 USD (or local equivalent), and purchasers of the Arcade Archives version on Nintendo Switch can do the same to the Arcade Archives 2 version on Nintendo Switch 2.
