The Settlers II, the sequel to the 1993 city-building game The Settlers, is finally getting a release on the Amiga, almost 30 years on from its release on PC.
Despite The Settlers being a popular release on the Amiga, the sequel arrived a little too late to be commercially viable as a release on Commodore’s 16-bit home computer, until now, that is! Under official license from Ubisoft Entertainment, The Settlers II Gold Edition will be available natively for the Amiga on October 18, 2025.
Features of the Amiga version of The Settlers II will include: thousands of lovingly animated settlers, over 30 different professions, including six types of soldiers, four different races with different character types: Romans, Asians, Nubians, and Vikings, various landscapes such as lava, ice fields, swamps, forests, and much more, including the stunning winter scenery from The Settlers II Mission CD, 10 Roman campaigns and nine world campaigns, 130 free bonus maps, integrated in-game help and an optimized game interface, four languages: fully in English and German, with French and Polish available in-game. Pre-orders for this new official Amiga port of The Settlers II are open now, in a variety of formats, including a standard box edition, a collector’s edition, and a digital edition.
The physical edition of the game will come with a classic box format with a slip lid, and the collector’s edition will come with a wooden box in the original Settlers II design and will also include an exclusive metal magnet. The collector’s edition will be limited to 100 copies.
