THEC64 Mini is Retro Games Ltd.’s mini edition of their THEC64 olug and play Commodore 64, which is 50% of the size of their previous full-sized Commodore 64 replica, THEC64 plug and play machine. Retro Games Ltd.’s The THEC64 machines of both sizes are based on the ever-popular Commodore 64 8-bit home computer, and come with a selection of built-in games.
And now, Retro Games Ltd. is releasing a new version of THEC64 Mini, this time in black, and with a different selection of games.
THEC64 Mini Black Edition will come in a stylish matte and gloss black color, and it will come with 25 on-board neo-retro Commodore 64 games pre-loaded. These modern Commodore 64 games will include the titles Sam’s Journey, Steel Ranger, A Pig Quest, Yeti Mountain, and more.
Additional Commodore 64 games can be added by plugging a USB stick into the machine. THEC64 Mini Black Edition comes with multiple USB ports, allowing the use of USB controllers and keyboards.
THEC64 Mini Black Edition’s HDMI offers high-definition output at 720p 50 or 60Hz, with the ability to customize the visual output, with US/Europe display modes, and a CRT filter.
The machine is a 50% scale replica of the beloved original C64, and it features HDMI output, multiple USB ports and a microswitch joystick in matching colors.
THEC64 Mini Black Edition is scheduled to be released by Retro Games Ltd. on October 24, 2025.
