Toaplan Shooters Collection Volume 2 has been announced by retro publisher Retro-Bit. The three-game collection will be made up of complete carts with manuals and boxes for each. The pre-orders will be open until the 1st of December 2024 with an expected delivery of March 2025. The special release will also include a slipcase to encompass all the games as well as a digital clock and signatures from Toaplan legend Mashario Yuge. The last extra in the set is a set of puffy stickers featuring sprites and art from the three games.
The first game in the set is Twin Cobra, originally released to arcades and consoles in 1987, and will have a special Black Hawk cart. Slap Fight, known as A.L.C.O.N in some territories, will be presented with a coloured Cosmic Flare cart and has a special Genesis/Mega Drive exclusive mode. The final entry, Storm Grinder, known for its almost arcade-perfect Sega port, will be emblazoned with Crystal Shield for its cart. All the releases have reversible covers displaying Japanese and Genesis artwork.
