Tomb Raider gets Mobile

Tomb Raider iOS & Android Out Now

Tomb Raider is now available for iOS and Android,  and it’s first full console Tomb Raider game to be released  on mobile platforms.

30 years ago, back in 1996 when we we were first enjoying Lara Croft’s archaeological adventures on the latest 32-bit home consoles and PC, we could never have imagined that one day, we’d be able to enjoy that very same game on a mobile phone!

Well, that day has come, as Feral Interactive has unearthed Tomb Raider for iOS and Android, and in doing so, it has “fully optimized the game for a wide range of devices, offering graphics presets that prioritize performance or high fidelity. A fully customisable touchscreen interface enables mobile players to mix puzzle-solving and gunplay seamlessly, with optional gyroscopic aiming available on supported devices. Full gamepad support is also included, as well as keyboard & mouse support on iPadOS and Android. With 12 free DLC packs that offer extra upgrades, outfits and a bonus Challenge Tomb, this is the complete and uncompromised Tomb Raider experience on the move, and sets a new standard for mobile gaming.”

While we’re sure that  Tomb Raider needs no introduction to readers of this site, here’s one, anyway, from publisher Feral Interactive: “Tomb Raider tells the story of Lara Croft’s journey from novice explorer to battle-scarred heroine. Shipwrecked on a mysterious island and armed only with her instincts, to survive she must overcome her limits and be reborn a legend.”

Tomb Raider is one of those video game series whose popularity never seems to wane. Indeed, just last month a range of new merch was released to celebrate the series’ 30th anniversary, as we previously reported.

Tomb Raider now available via the App Store and Google Play Store, priced at $19.99 /£12.99 /€15,99 (regional prices may vary).
