Ultra Pixel Survive 2 is a new action RPG survival title from developer Gold Skull Studios and retro specialists Ratalaika Games. It’s out now on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4, priced at $5.99. This release is another great example of Ratalaika Games showcasing games from smaller development studios and helping them get the attention they deserve. We recently reviewed another Ratalaika title, Axel Quest, and love to see more games coming from the retro publisher.
In Ultra Pixel Survive 2, players will control three unique characters, with each hero having different abilities. They’ll harvest and collect materials, then build and develop their defenses by juggling their three heroes. Each night, the enemy onslaught will attack, and it’s up to the players’ team to hold down the fort. Players will also explore dark underground dungeons and battle against gigantic bosses. The team will evolve as the player masters powerful new abilities and survives for as long as possible.
