G-MODE Corporation announced during its “G-MODE Archives 4th Anniversary Live Broadcast” that the fishing RPG “River King 2” will be remade into “G-MODE Archives+ River King 2” and released for the Nintendo Switch. The release date and price are still pending.
Originally released for the Super Famicom in 1995, “River King 2” will now be available for the Nintendo Switch as a port of the feature phone version. Players can explore various fishing spots, such as ponds, clear streams, mountain streams, and swamps, engaging in bait, lure, and fly fishing. The game showcases changing in-game seasons, transforming maps with the time of year, and features seven master fish, dubbed ‘Guardians.’ Players can purchase different fishing gear to catch larger fish and complete the fish encyclopedia.
