New Update Brings Improvements to Raiden Fighters Remix Collection

We’ve been following the retro shmup compilation Raiden Fighters Remix Collection for a while now, reporting on both its initial announcement, and on the announcement of its release date.

Raiden Fighters Remix Collection was released back in February  on Nintendo Switch and  PlayStation 4&5, and now, a new update for the collection has been released foer the collection in  the form of Update Ver. 1.2, which adds a whole host of improvements to the collection. These are: the game will now begin with the attract demo sequence, recreating a more authentic arcade presentation; a new “smoothing” feature has been added to the Display Options menu, ro give players greater control over the visual presentation of the games; automatic key configuration saving, meaning that key config settings are now saved automatically to make controller customization more convenient; a quick restart function, which allows players to instantly jump back into the action by pressing and hold the L2 (ZL) and R2 (ZR) buttons for 1 second while playing in “Custom” play style.); an issue where deleting local ranking data in the international version could mistakenly remove ranking data from the Japanese version has been fixed, as has an issue where restarting a game could incorrectly cause the next session to launch in 2-player mod; the PlayStation 5 version of the collection now offers PlayStation 4 Arcade Controller support.

While, in an ideal world, the definitive versions of games would be those released at launch, it’s great to see publishers such as H2 Interactive willing to add features to improve their titles even after they’ve already got your money!

And if you’re still yet to pick up the Raiden Fighters Remix Collection, you might be interested to know that there’s 20% off the collection until July 2, 2026, on both the Nintendo Store and the PlayStation Store.
