So, it seems we won’t be getting an Xbox Lego set in the vein of the Lego Game Boy and Lego Sega Genesis sets, on both of which we have reported previously, but we will be getting something very similar, as Xbox has teamed up with Mattel to create the Mattel Brick Shop Microsoft Xbox Building Toy Kit.
The set, which consists of a total of 3509 pieces, is described as being “for collectors,” (aged 17+), and it can be used to build a 1:1 replica of the original Xbox console and its original full-sized “Duke” controller, complete with working buttons that can activate the set’s sounds and lights. The Xbox Brick Shop set will also come with dioramas of Psychonauts, Halo, and The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind that slot into the console, and which include 1-inch NanoWorld figures of characters from the games.
The Xbox Brick Shop set will cost $324.99 USD or local equivalent, and pre-orders are open now, with the set set to ship on or before October 16,2026.
If the Xbox Brick Shop set is a success (and we suspect it will be) perhaps we’ll see an Xbox 360 set in the future and let’s face it, we’ve seen our fair share of “bricked” Xbox 360s over the years! We jest of course, for now, this Xbox Brick Shop set is based on the original Xbox console, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, having originally been released back in 2001.
