ZZAP! Legacy Volume 2 Zaps Kickstarter Target

ZZAP! Legacy volume 2 is a new book dedicated to celebrating issues 549 to issues 49 to 90 of the beloved Commodore 64 magazine ZZAP!, along with the first few issues of its successor, Commodore Force.

Chris Wilkins, the owner of the book’s publisher, Fusion Retro Books, had this to say about ZZAP! Legacy volume 2: “We have created and cleaned up digital versions of the covers that did not exist (over 22) – we now have the next 42 covers of ZZAP! 64 in hi-res digital version format without straplines (i.e. no ZZAP! 64 logo, text etc). There will be NO watermarks on the art – it is here for all us fans of Oli’s art to marvel at.

Ian Osborne, who worked back in the day at Newsfield with Roper and Oli on ZZAP! 64, has once again written the text to go with each issue.”

The Kickstarter campaign for this new volume raised over 100% of its target within 24 hours of going live, following in the footsteps of the first volume of ZZAP! Legacy, on which we reported previously.

At the time of writing, the ZZAP! Legacy volume 2 Kickstarter has raised £12,901 from 334 backers, with the original target goal of the project being £10,000. There are still 11 days left to run on the ZZAP! Legacy volume 2 Kickstarter, if you’d like to enjoy this celebration of a classic games magazine!
