Tyrant’s Realm is a new hack ‘n’ slash title from publisher Skystone Games and developer Team Tyrant. It pays homage to the classic third-person action games of the mid-90s with its PlayStation-style graphics and challenging gameplay. The game’s world is based on the fantasy works of Robert E. Howard and Frank Frazetta, best known for their writings in swords and sorcery settings.
The developer describes Tyrant’s Realm as “a PSOne-styled dark action RPG. Facing the corrupted world of the Tyrant, players will adventure through the lands of a forgotten time. Battling foes to collect weapons and armour that become your lifeblood as you out-think and out-fight unspeakable horrors and challenging bosses.”
The game features hand-to-hand combat with downed foes providing new equipment for players to use. The weapons, armour and magic on offer can be customised into builds that suit all types of players looking to explore the dark dungeons and sprawling lands within the game. Tyrant’s Realm will be released to Steam on 16th January 2025 but a demo is available now to sample what can be expected.
