Some of Toaplan’s classic arcade titles have been mobilised for release on iOS and Android.
While we don’t tend to cover mobile games here on Retro News, when they involve a big arcade name such as Toaplan, we think it’s well worth paying attention. So, we were intrigued to learn that Tatsujin, a Japanese video game publisher founded by industry veteran Masahiro Yuge, and one of the original founders of Toaplan, has announced the availability of Amusement Arcade Toaplan for iOS and Android mobile platforms.
The games can be played with tailored, customizable touch controls, or by connecting external controllers. Gamers can even play with an external arcade stick (Bluetooth required).
All of the games available for Amusement Arcade Toaplan are faithful renditions of the arcade originals.
Games available to purchase on Amusement Arcade Toaplan are Tiger Heli, Guardian, Alcon/Slap Fight, Sky Shark/Flying Shark, Pyros/Wardner, Twin Cobra, Rally Bike, Truxton, Hellfire, Twin Hawk, Horror Story, Zero Wing, Fire Shark, Snow Bros, Outzone, Vimana, Teki-Paki, Ghox, Truxton II, Fixeight, Dogyuun, Grind Stormer, Knuckle Bash, Batsugun and Snow Bros. 2.
Demo games available to try free of charge include Tiger Heli, Wardner, Flying Shark, Snow Bros and Teki-Paki.
Amusement Arcade Toaplan from Tatsujin is available to download for free now on iOS and Android.
