Lumo is a modern-day 3D isometric adventure game, in the vein of the puzzle-packed 3D isometric games that were incredibly popular in the era of 8-bit and 16-bit home computer games.
Originally released to critical acclaim on PC and PlayStation 4 in 2016, Lumo was also subsequently ported to Xbox One, PlayStation Vita, and Nintendo Switch.
And now, Thalamus Digital is set to bring Lumo to one of those very classic home computers that hosted the original 3D isometric games from which Lumo so obviously drew its inspiration, namely the 16-bit Commodore Amiga.
Lumo is being ported to the Amiga by the veteran developer John Girvin, and you can keep track of the game’s progress by joining the Thalamus Digital Patreon, where you can follow the devlog of the Amiga port of Lumo.
We’ve previously played the PlayStation 4 version of Lumo and can confirm that the game is a very worthy successor to the likes of Head over Heels and Knight Lore, and we expect the game to be a perfect fit for the Amiga. Indeed, it’s quite something to see a modern game receiving an Amiga port now in the year 2025, which is over 30 years on from the machine’s heyday.
