We reported on Heroes of Mount Dragon, a retro-inspired brawler, back in June. Following its successful Steam release, developer RuinQ has now announced that its fantasy arcade title is heading to Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch on September 25th, 2025, with Xbox Series coming soon. Set in the mythical world of Üna, Heroes of Mount Dragon is a side-scrolling brawler where players fight as chosen heroes destined to become Dragon-Souls.
Each hero boasts a unique fighting style and can transform mid-battle into a mighty dragon, unlocking devastating new moves to dominate the arena. Combat is fast, fluid, and deeply expressive. Players can chain combos, launch aerial juggles, and weave human and dragon powers together to overwhelm enemies. With layered mechanics like magical power-ups and curses that change the flow of battle, every match is an opportunity for creative strategy and stylish play.
Whether teaming up to battle colossal boss beasts or clashing head-to-head in skill-based matches, Heroes of Mount Dragon thrives on multiplayer mayhem. The game supports up to four players in local and online multiplayer, with both cooperative story-based stages and competitive arena modes. Environmental hazards, stage-specific mechanics, and a diverse roster of heroes keep matches unpredictable and replayable. At launch, players can choose from six distinct heroes, with two more set to join the roster in late October to keep the meta evolving.
