Back in September, we brought you the news that Psyvariar 3 will be released on Steam, Nintendo Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch in 2026. We also mentioned that a physical release would be on its way, and publisher Red Art Games, alongside developer Banana Bytes, has announced that the PlayStation 5 standard and deluxe editions are now available for pre-order.
The deluxe edition is exclusive to Red Art Games, while the standard will be up for pre-order at many of the usual retailers once the game gets closer to launch. The deluxe version contains an exclusive sleeve featuring alternative art, a magnet set, and, of course, the game itself. Psyvariar 3 is being released in conjunction with the 25th anniversary of the original Psyvariar and will be available on March 19th, 2026.
In a press statement, Red Art Games said. “Psyvariar 3 is the highly anticipated sequel to the acclaimed vertical Shoot ’em Up series. The game builds on the franchise’s signature “buzz” mechanic while introducing new characters, refined controls, and a variety of game modes. Featuring seven unique pilots, each with distinct abilities and scoring systems, Psyvariar 3 remains faithful to its arcade roots while delivering enhanced replay value and accessibility for today’s players.”
