Mystery of Silence is a new pixel art point-and-click title from developer Making Enemies and publisher DevilshGames. The classic adventure game is due for release on Steam on December 11th, 2025, priced at $7.99, with a 10% launch discount. Mystery of Silence is the first title in the upcoming Scholar Adventure series. There is currently a demo available on the game’s Steam page.

In a press statement, DevilishGames said. “After winning over players with its free demo during Steam Next Fest, Mystery of Silence is set to enchant fans of classic adventures. With an evocative retro style, players will delve into a mysterious abbey where nothing is what it seems.”

The adventure centers on William, a young writer in search of inspiration for his first work. His journey leads him to an isolated abbey whose monks have taken a vow of silence. What begins as a simple literary quest soon turns into a disturbing mystery. Hidden within the monastery’s walls lies a secret that should never have been revealed. With a duration of between 2 and 3 hours, the game offers a focused, intense experience that will keep players glued to the screen until the final secret is unearthed.

Developed with PowerQuest, the tool behind recent hits such as The Drifter, and inspired by 1990s graphic adventures, Mystery of Silence combines dark, detailed pixel art with a narrative laced with dark humor. Players will explore environments shrouded in mystery, solve clever puzzles, and use items to uncover the secrets the abbey hides.
