Star Fox-inspired Wild Blue Skies Demo Takes Off On Steam

We first reported on Wild Blue Skies, a new Star Fox-inspired shooter from developer Chuhai Labs, in November 2025. Now, a brand new demo has launched, just in time for Steam Next Fest. The game will release on Steam and Xbox in 2026, although no firm date has been set yet. Players pilot Bowie Stray and the Blue Bombers through various stunning biomes, battling enemy forces in fast-paced dogfights and cinematic boss encounters.

 

In a press statement, the developer said. “Independent developer Chuhai Labs, a team led by veteran programmer Giles Goddard, today announced that a hands-on demo of their classics-inspired on-rails shooter, Wild Blue Skies, is now playable for the first time during Steam Next Fest.”
