Lady Bug has been announced as this week’s release in Hamster Corporation’s Arcade Archives and Arcade Archives 2 lines of emulated coin-op titles, following last week’s Arcade Archives 2 release of Moon Shuttle, on which we reported previously.
Lady Bug is a maze game that was originally released into arcades by Universal, way back in 1981.
Hamster Corporation describes Lady Bug as follows: “Control the Lady Bug and avoid pursuing enemies while making your way through the maze and collecting all the dots. Since only the Lady Bug can pass through the revolving doors, they are effective for avoiding enemy attacks.
Collect the bonuses marked with letters or hearts skillfully and aim for a high score!”
While Lady Bug received a number of contemporaneous ports t home formats, it has not received a home release for over 40 years now, last being released on the Intellivision back in 1983.
But tomorrow (July 2, 2026), Hamster Corporation will be making Lady Bug available again for the first time in 43 years, when it releases its Arcade Archives version of Lady Bug on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4, priced at $7.99 USD or local equivalent, and its Arcade Archives 2 version of the game, which adds a new Time Attack mode, on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, priced at $9.99 USD or local equivalent.
As usual, purchasers of the Arcade Archives version of the game on Nintendo Switch or PlayStation 4 can upgrade to the Arcade Archives 2 version on Nintendo Switch 2 or PlayStation 5 respectively for $2.99 USD or local equivalent.
