Mechaconda is a new arcade roguelite inspired by the classic mobile phone game Snakes. It has been developed by Nato Games and published by QUByte Interactive. It’s set to release on Steam, Epic Store, Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch on July 30, 2026. QUByte has described Mechaconda as having “deep roguelike elements” and as a “top-down arena shooter packed with mechanical upgrades and survival strategy”.
In this game, players take control of a biomechanical combat serpent on a suicide mission to take down the massive robotic army of the tyrannical Dr. EVIL. The rule is simple: consume energy cores to grow the length. However, players will need to keep in mind that every new body segment attached isn’t just a larger target for enemy projectiles; it’s a new slot to install autocannons, plasma lasers, and defensive energy shields in real time.
Key features in Mechaconda:
Frantic Bullet Hell Action: Dodge thousands of projectiles while surviving massive hordes of alien monsters and lethal traps.
Build Your Tail in Real-Time: Mix and match over 30 unique ability cards to add destructive combat modules to your snake’s body.
Modular Evolution: Choose from over 10 different serpent heads, each offering unique gameplay-changing effects to fit your playstyle.
Three Dynamic Game Modes: Master the narrative challenges in the Campaign, test your luck and adaptability in Roguelike, or face colossal bosses in the brutal Boss Rush.
Vibrant Cartoon Aesthetics: Fluid top-down gameplay presented in a colorful, stylized 2D cartoon visual design.
