The Conveni 2 has been announced as this week’s release in Hamster Corporation’s Console Archives line of emulated titles from classic consoles for modern formats, following last week’s release of the considerably less obscure Bubble Bobble, on which we reported at the time. Indeed, today’s retro releases on Switch Online and tomorrow’s Arcade Archives title are also rather well-known titles, so it’s good to see Hamster Corporation delving a bit deeper into the Console Archives this week, to re-release the simulation title The Conveni 2 for a modern audience.
The Conveni 2 is the sequel to – you guessed it! – The Conveni, which itself received a Console Archives release earlier this year, as we reported at the time, and it was originally released on PlayStation by Human back in 1997.
Hamster Corporation describes The Conveni 2 as follows: “the graphics have been completely revamped from the previous game, the number of maps has increased, and the perspective has been changed to an isometric viewpoint, doubling the sense of scale. Game software has been added to the product items, and a welcome double-speed mode and a function to create original store markers have been added, resulting in a significant functional and system-wise upgrade, adding that,” “this is a simulation game that you can enjoy without feeling stressed. Don’t just aim to complete the game; try playing with more creative ideas.”
The Console Archives version of The Conveni 2 will be released from tomorrow (September 3, 2026), on Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5, priced at $11.99 USD or local equivalent.
