3 More Titles Heading to PS Plus Classics Catalog

During the State of Play presentation today (August 3, 2026), where, as we reported, the Lego PlayStation was revealed, there was more good news for retro gamers, with the announcement that three more games are to be added to the PS Plus Classics catalog for Premium subscribers. The new additions will be…

Mega Man X: Command Mission (PlayStation 2, Capcom, 2004)
This is a spin-off game that takes the form of an RPG, as opposed to the series’ usual formula of run ‘n’ gun platforming.

Dino Crisis 2 (PlayStation, Capcom, 2000)
This sequel to the previous year’s survival horror title Dino Crisis takes a more action-based approach than its predecessor.

Ratchet & Clank (PlayStation 2, 2002)
This is the first game in the now long-running 3D platform shooter series.

The three games will be joining other classics such as the PlayStation 2 rhythm action game Gitaroo Man, on which we reported when it was announced during a State of Play stream back in June, and indeed, titles such as Alone in the Dark 2 and War of the Monsters, which were both added to the service last year, as we reported at the time.
Sony Interactive Entertainment has not yet announced when the trio of retro titles will be added to the PS Plus Classics catalog.

And although I keep up with modern gaming, we all know you can't beat retro classics (or maybe I'm just old!) https://x.com/paultwist
