Last week, we reported that Konami had made the mobile port of the first Castlevania game available for free, in celebration of the 40th anniversary of the game. But the celebrations of Castlevania’s 40th anniversary are set to extend quite some way beyond a mere downloadable freebie.
Castlevania 40th Anniversary: an Orchestral Concert is set to be performed by a 25-piece power rock orchestra, which will perform pieces from across four decades of thde Castlevania series, synchronised with gameplay on a big screen, and featuring a world-exclusive first performance of music from the upcoming Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse, on which we have also reported previously.

Audiences can expect the series’ most beloved and most streamed themes, including the immortal “Bloody Tears,” the iconic “Vampire Killer,” the gothic grandeur of “Dracula’s Castle” from Symphony of the Night, and the heroic “Divine Bloodlines,” music that has been reimagined across generations of games, covered by artists worldwide, and featured in the hit Netflix animated series.
Castlevania 40th Anniversary: an Orchestral Concert has been created by Lambert Jackson Productions, with creative direction by Thomas Redgrave, video design by Symfoni Digital and all new arrangements and orchestrations by Adam Hoskins. The international tour is promoted by Soho Live and Lambert Jackson Productions.
