A new 8-bit-inspired action platformer is due to release on Steam on January 8th, 2026. Blasten!! Has been developed by TriPaw Games and aims to provide a nostalgic blast of gaming action for those “who revel in classic 80s gaming”. Players take control of Blasten, an ultra-advanced battle bot with a strong sense of right and wrong. When the nefarious Dr. Kraven hijacks the world’s robots and threatens a hundred years of peace, it’s up to you to blast through hazardous levels, take down crazed battle robots, and restore order to the world.

“We made Blasten!! for everyone who grew up with a controller in their hands, cursing at their TV while trying to beat that one impossible boss,” said Jesse McCann, Game Director at TriPaw Games, apocryphally. “This is our love letter to those games, the ones that made you sweat, made you swear, and made you come back for more.”
