It was only back in June that we were bringing you the news that the Broken Sword – Shadow of the Templar remaster was getting a physical release. In more exciting news for fans of Revolution Software‘s classic series, Broken Sword II: The Smoking Mirror is also getting the ‘Reforged’ treatment and will be released in 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox One / Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.

 

This faithful reimagining of the classic 1997 adventure celebrates the series’ enduring legacy while introducing enhancements for modern players. Coinciding with the announcement, Revolution will launch a “coming soon” page for the game on Kickstarter, inviting fans to sign up for updates. The Steam page for Broken Sword – The Smoking Mirror: Reforged is already live, allowing fans to wishlist the game and receive development news ahead of release.
