Castle Crashers to get Game Boy Demake

Castle Crashers is going to be the latest “modern” game that’s going to get the Game Boy “demake” treatment from the rather literally named developer Game Boy Demakes.

We’ve previously reported on several previous impressive Game Boy “demakes” created by Game Boy Demakes, such as Cuphead, Plants vs. Zombies, and Another Code.

We might have described the beat ‘em up Castle Crashers as a “modern” game, but it was actually released some 17 years ago, way back in 2008, when the game was initially released via Xbox Live for Xbox 360, before also being released on PC and PlayStation 3. Castle Crashers would also later receive releases on more modern consoles, including Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, and now, the game will be getting a fan-made release on of sorts on an older console in the form of the game’s upcoming Game Boy “demake”.

To keep track on the progress of the Game Boy “demake” of Castle Crashers, you can join the Game Boy Demakes Patreon for free, though paid members do get additional benefits, such as insight into the development of Game Boy Demakes’ projects, and the chance to vote on future projects, with $1 and $5 monthly tiers available.
