Chained Echoes is a retro-inspired JRPG that was released to critical acclaim in 2022. Now, indie developer Umami Tiger, along with publisher Deck13 Spotlight, has released a new DLC pack titled Ashes of Elrant. The DLC is available now for $9.99 on PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch. 

It adds about ten hours of extra content, including more story, new sidequests, and some hidden secrets. It also improves upon the original gameplay mechanics and adds lots of new lore to the world in which the game is set. Another bonus is a new fishing mini-game and new music to uncover. Finally, players will also get to control a new playable character, the White Wolf, whose full name can now be discovered in the game.

In a statement, the developer and publisher said. “After Chained Echoes entertained and enthralled gamers, now comes Ashes of Elrant, taking players to a new land, away from Valandis.  More fights and battles, and a backdrop story to entertain.  Fans will learn more about the background story of Valandis and also get a deeper look at the characters and their motivations.”

To celebrate the release of Ashes of Elrant, there was also the announcement that a Makership Campaign for a Chained Echoes Plushie has just opened up its gates. Fans can now pre-order a cute Sienna Plushie. That way, they can have the Red Succubus in their homes soon.
