Back in May 2025, we brought you the news that Chronicles of the Wolf, a new Castlevania-inspired action title, would be heading to PC and consoles. Now that the game is out, publisher PixelHeart has announced that the physical editions are now up for pre-order with an expected shipping date of January 2026. The game has received some great feedback from players for its excellent artwork and decent combat, as well as an intriguing story.

Developed by Migami Games, the creators behind the beloved Lecarde Chronicles fan projects and the cult hit Wallachia: Reign of Dracula, this brand-new adventure delivers an intense, atmospheric metroidvania experience inspired by gothic legends and classic side-scrollers. The physical editions will be available for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.

In a press statement, the prolific retro publisher said. “We’re thrilled to announce that our limited editions of Chronicles of the Wolf are now available for pre-order. This PixelHeart-exclusive edition will be available in limited, numbered quantities featuring an exclusive reversible cover and a code in the box for Wallachia: Reign of Dracula. In addition to all this, you can find the latest version of the game, in its entirety, on the disc/cartridge.”
