Clawpunk is a new retro-style arcade title from developer Kittens in Timespace and publisher Megabit Publishing. It’s out now on Steam, Epic, PlayStation 5, Switch, and Xbox Series X|S, priced at around $10, with a first-week discount. The developer has described Clawpunk as having “a healthy dose of nostalgia” and as an “arcade-style 2D action” game. 

Each formidable kitty comes with their own unique weapons and attacks, with swords, guns, explosives, robotic fists, and more available to wield. It’s up to players to discover the combinations that work best for them as they battle through five multi-stage zones, hundreds of foes, and a world that’s waiting to be blown apart. As players set out to take down gangs and restore peace, Feral City is the perfect playground. It’s a world reminiscent of classic 90s arcade titles and cartoons with an anarchic splash of punk and metal stylings, including an original metal soundtrack that’s best played loud.
