Crescent Tower’s story revolves around a mysterious dungeon that appears once every 50 years in the Imperial Capital Mayirdoam. Rumors of wish-granting jewels and immortality potions at the tower’s summit draw adventurers from far and wide. Players take on the role of one such brave soul, embarking on a perilous journey through the tower’s 10 levels.
Key features of the game include:
Simple yet strategic turn-based battles with pixel art characters
Character creation system with 3 races and 9 classes, allowing for skill transfer and job changes
2D top-down perspective for dungeon exploration, with torch-lighting mechanics to expand visibility
Trap-filled levels requiring careful mapping and progression
An estimated playtime of 10–20 hours
The game will support multiple languages, including English, French, German, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, and Korean. Crescent Tower began as an early access title in November 2024, generating buzz among retro gaming enthusiasts before AMATA Games decided to publish a full Steam release.
With its blend of nostalgic 8-bit aesthetics and modern game design, Crescent Tower aims to offer an authentic dungeon-crawling experience that pays homage to the golden age of RPGs while catering to contemporary players.
