Earlier this year, we reported on D*Fuzed finding a new lease of life, and that development was continuing. Since then, the new GBC puzzle game has been preparing for launch, with pre-orders starting on July 24, 2025, on publisher Incube8’s website. In a statement, Incube8 said. “After six months of development and one month of QA, we’re excited to share that D*Fuzed is officially finished!”
There was also confirmation that the carts, boxes, and other materials had been produced, and everything is getting ready to be shipped out. Since its announcement in 2021, D*Fuzed has faced many challenges. It was put on hold for a couple of years due to personal difficulties the original developer went through. There was already a batch of pre-orders that will now be able to get fulfilled.
In D*Fuzed, players will play as Deef, a bomb disposal robot, who reluctantly finds himself on a journey to save his friends through a series of turn-based puzzles. A big, bad boss has appeared, raining chaos and destruction on this once peaceful land. Deef must rescue his friends while defusing bombs and avoiding hazards, as he progresses through each area towards a final explosive confrontation.
There is no mention of when the new pre-orders will be shipped, as the previous round will need to be sent first, but it is great to see this game finally getting the release it deserves. There is a standard edition which includes a cart, box, and manual, and a collectors edition that includes various goodies and a special purple cart. There is also a digital ROM to purchase for use on emulators and SD card carts. Finally, those wanting to try before they buy may download the demo ROM to get a taste.
