Dino Crisis Game Boy Demake Out Now

Update:  December 19th: It appearrs that this Dino Crisis Game Boy demake isn’t as new as we first thought, and was actually initially released back in 2019, despite being posted to the Game Boy Demakes Patreon this Wednesday! We give thanks to the French site Retrogamer.cc for bringing this to our attention!

Dino Crisis is the latest game to receive the “demake” treatment from the prolific Game Boy demaker by the name of Game Boy Demakes, on who’s earlier demakes such as Plants vs. Zombies, Cattle Crashers, and Cuphead we have previously reported.

As usual, Game Boy Demakes has made ROMs for the Dino Crisis demake available for both Game Boy and Analogue Pocket,, with both being available as free downloads via the Game Boy Demakes Patreon page. And while membership to the Game Boy Demakes Patreon is required to download the files, there is a free membership tier available.

That said, Game Boy Demakes’ paid Patreon tiers do offer access to even more demade Game Boy goodies, including past projects, raw sprite sheets, and music files, so you may wish to consider those if you’re a real fan of Game Boy homebrew projects. What’s more, members of the paid Game Boy Demakes Patreon tiers get their names in the credits of the Game Boy Demakes ROMs.

Dino Crisis is a survival horror game that was originally released on the formats of the day back in 1999, and while a game like Dino Crisis really has no business being anywhere near a Game Boy (though a planned Game Boy Color port was never released), but Game Boy Demakes clearly had other ideas!
