It’s no secret that we’re huge fans of retro publisher EastAsiaSoft here at Retro News. We cover many of its games, with the most recent being our review of the cute ‘em-up Twilight Parade. A new online store has been launched by EastAsiaSoft, specializing in physical releases of its best games. It’s a bold step for the publisher, which has always sought to support smaller developers and has been prolific in releasing high-quality retro titles.
In a press statement, EastAsiaSoft said. “Today, we are thrilled to announce that a new EastAsiaSoft store has launched, and with it, three new physical PlayStation 5 releases are now available for pre-order to customers in North America. Maiden Cops, Birdbage, and a 2-in-1 Cute ’em Up Collection including Takotan and Exo-Calibre will be ESRB-rated, to begin shipping in 2026. Each game is available in standard or deluxe editions, the latter including a slipcase and CD soundtrack.”
The statement also mentioned that any developers who may be interested in getting a physical release of its games should make contact with EastAsiaSoft. Currently, there are only PS5 titles available, but considering EastAsiaSoft has already been involved in several Switch releases through other partners, we do not doubt that there will be more systems added to the roster. We look forward to seeing the development of the store and the brilliant retro games that will be preserved.
