A few days ago, we reported that Blaze Entertainment would be releasing a limited edition Evercade Nexus Doom Edition handheld console alongside its Doom Collection Evercade cartridge, and its standard Evercade Nexus handheld, all set to be released on October 30, 2026.
The Evercade Nexus Doom Edition was limited to just 3,000 units worldwide, and perhaps unexpectedly, given the dedicated followings that both Doom and Evercade have amassed, the Evercade Nexus Doom Edition sold out on pre-orders within 24 hours, despite being exclusively available from the online retailer Funstock. Of course, the Doom Collection Evercade cartridge and the standard Evercade Nexus handheld consoles are still available to pre-order from all Evercade retailers, as is the Banjo Kazooie & Banjo Tooie Double Pack Evercade cartridge, which will also be released on the same day, as we also reported.
The Evercade Nexus Doom Edition was actually the second limited edition Evercade Nexus handheld to be announced by Blaze Entertainment, following the previously announced Evercade Nexus 64 Edition, which was designed to tie in with the Banjo Kazooie Double Pack.
This SKU was limited to 2,000 units, as we also reported upon its announcement, and it also sold out quickly, during its pre-order period.
