We first reported on Frosthaven in the summer of 2025. Since then, the board game adaptation has been continuously worked on by developer Arc Games, and a new major update has been announced. Legacy of the Algox is a new story arc that is accompanied by its own missions, three new character clases and a host of other updates. So far, Frostahaven has received ‘mostly positive’ reviews since its release on Steam. The original board game was designed by Isaac Childes and the video game adaptation seems to stick close to the original vision.
Players can expect deep mechanics and challenging yet immensely satisfying gameplay, both in single-player and co-op online multiplayer. Seasoned veterans of the original board game or Gloomhaven will feel right at home venturing into the unforgiving and treacherous northern frontier of FROSTHAVEN.
