Mario Kart Super Circuit, the Game Boy Advance entry in the mustachioed plumber’s beloved kart racing series, was originally released back in 2001, and now, a whole quarter of a century later, the game has been recompiled for PC, with the addition of some new features, to boot. The PC recompilation of Mario Kart Super Circuit offers the following features: 60 FPS; adaptive widescreen; controller support; save files and save states; and an integrated launcher.
The PC recompilation of Mario Kart Super Circuit is compatible with both Windows and Linux, and in order to run it you will need a ROM of the US version of the game and a (legally acquired, it says here) dump of the Game Boy Advance’s BIOS.
The Mario Kart Super Circuit recompilation is by Matt Stanley, and, for the sake of transparency, we should point put that the Claude AI platform was used in the process of recompiling the game.
Assuming that you have, or can acquire (legally, remember) the requisite files, and that you don’t object to AI use too vehemently, you can download the Mario Kart Super Circuit recompilation via Github.
Despite Nintendo’s notorious penchant for litigation, Mario games are popular choices for unauthorized fan ports. Examples on which we’ve reported recently include fan ports of Paper Mario for PC, and Super Mario Bros. for the Sega Master System.
