Pixel Art Mining Idler Game Pickochet Digging Out Playtesters

pickochet

Pickochet is a new pixel art mining game that uses incremental gameplay mechanics. It has been developed by Midware Games and has been inspired by games such as Digseum, Incridicer, Nodebuster, and Gambler’s Table. The developer is currently looking for playtesters to start testing the game from February 26th, 2026, with interested parties being able to register their interest on the Pickochet Steam page.

In Pickochet, players embark on an incremental/idle mining game where they mine ore with ricocheting pickaxes that bounce around the screen. They’ll mine ore, sell it for profit, and upgrade their ores, pickaxes, and abilities. The developer has described the game as having “the classic idle gameplay loop”.

According to the press release, players can “sit back and relax while your pickaxes and passives do the work for you, or take a more active approach and click along with your pickaxes and use more powerful abilities. The choice is yours! Progress through 5 mining locations by upgrading your ores, pickaxes, and abilities through skill trees.”
