Desert Race Adventures is a new racing adventure hybrid heading to Steam and Switch later in the summer of 2025. Developed by a Portuguese indie team, Firedrake Games, and published by a Finnish studio and publisher, Black Smoke Studios, Desert Race Adventures is a retro-inspired strategic adventure game with a roguelike twist. It has been described by the developer as “The Oregon Trail meets Dakar Rally”, which certainly sounds like an interesting mix of retro ideas.
