Forehead Chip is a new retro title from developer Naturally Intelligent. The game is due for release on May 1st, 2026, and has been described by the developer as “a retro pixel-art platformer inspired by 80s and 90s sci-fi”. The game won’t just focus on old-school gameplay, though; there is item management, capturing enemy units, and multiple endings to unlock. It will also include over fifty enemy types to take on, and features a large selection of weapon loadouts to choose from and modify.

Players take control of young CHIP, a recruit in the Implant Corps. He is on a mission to win the coveted Forehead Chip. During the game, players will explore city locations, interact with characters across the societal divide, and make choices to determine the future of Arca City. It also boasts a great pixel art aesthetic and synthwave soundtrack that will surely be a hit with retro fans.
