Savant Ascent Remix, a reworking of the 2013 Steam side-scrolling shooter, is heading to Switch on 5th December 2024. The game will include three new game modes to blast through as well as all the content featured in the original release. Those pre-ordering the game before release on Switch will get an extra 15% discount.
The Classic Mode allows players to take on the tower with new abilities such as grabbing enemies added to the arsenal of weaponry at the player’s disposal. The Survival Mode expands on the gameplay with new enemy waves and bosses to provide the ultimate challenge. Time Attack will pit players against the clock as they try to finish levels in the quickest time possible.
Savant Ascent Remix began life as a remaster of the original title before developer D-Pad Studio got carried away by their enthusiasm and ended up creating a full-blown sequel to the original title. It takes the platformer to new heights, with a host of new content that more than doubles the size of the original game. There are also new difficulty modes, including an NES-style, no checkpoints Hardcore Mode and 36 newly composed songs from acclaimed Norwegian musician Savant.
