Skinwalker is a new pixel art action title from developer Sismo Games and publisher Team 17. It’s due for release in 2026 on Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox, with wishlists open now. The game deals with mature themes around bereavement and the lengths parents would go to save a child. From the trailer accompanying the announcement, it seems that an Altered Beast-style change mechanic is the focus of the gameplay.

In a statement, Team 17 said. “In Skinwalker, you play a weary scientist who is forced to give up his own humanity to save his daughter. By shapeshifting into a monstrous form and wielding its ancient archaic wrath, you will fight anyone who stands in your way and decide if you truly would do anything to save your child.”
