Slain 2: The Beast Within is a new pixel art scrolling action title inspired by classics such as Altered Beast and Rastan. A new trailer gives us a glimpse of the gore, heavy metal soundtrack, and carnage that will be on offer when Slain 2: The Beast Within hits Steam in 2026. The trailer was revealed during The MIX Fall Showcase and gives a first look at the game’s fast, visceral combat, gothic world design, and the return of the sentient sword Bathoryn.
Published by Silver Lining Interactive and developed by Steel Mantis, Slain 2: The Beast Within is the brutal follow-up to the cult hit Slain: Back From Hell. The original game was released way back in 2016, receiving mostly positive reviews on Steam. Players take up the blade as Prince Akran, last of the Wolf Knights, bound to a curse that grants the strength and savagery of the Beast. Akran can transform into a monstrous werewolf, tearing through enemies with unmatched ferocity.
