Sonic Wings Reunion Zooming Onto Consoles This Month

We first reported on Sonic Wings Reunion way back in February 2025. It was meant to be released worldwide in the Spring of this year, but was only released in Japan and on Steam. Now, Sonic Wings Reunion is finally getting the full release it deserves and will be taking off on PS4, PS5, and Switch on October 7th, 2025.

There was also news from publisher Red Art Games that the Success-developed game will also be getting a physical release in early 2026. While Sonic Wings Reunion’s Standard and Collector’s Editions will be available from multiple retailers at launch, the limited Deluxe Edition is exclusive to Red Art Games’ official online store, with further details to be released.

This is the latest episode in the long-running Sonic Wings franchise (known as Aero Fighters in the West). Sonic Wings Reunion is the result of the collaboration between Success, Hamster Corporation, and members of past Sonic Wings games’ development teams. Produced by Shinya Nagatomo (Cotton Rock’n’Roll), Sonic Wings Reunion features character designs by Fumihiko Nantoka (Sonic Wings series) and sound design by Soshi Hosoi (Sonic Wings series).
