Super Mario 64’s Previously Unopenable Door finally Opened After Almost 28 Years

In a surprising turn of events, a previously unopenable door in Super Mario 64 on Cool Mountain has finally been accessed without any alterations to the original game.

The mystery behind the door, located at the bottom of Cool, Cool Mountain‘s slide and lacking a door handle, has been unravelled by a speedrunner named “Alexpalix”. By exploiting the game’s invisible walls, Alexpalix discovered that a collision glitch was preventing the door from opening. To bypass the obstacle, the player must bring the mother penguin close enough to perform a flip, allowing Mario to enter the room without the need for any modifications. This breakthrough sheds light on a previously inaccessible area, showcasing the ingenuity and persistence of the gaming community.
