Sword of Convallaria: For This World of Peace, This Game Reminds Me Of the Golden Age Of Strategy RPGs

The tactics RPGSword of Convallaria: For This World of Peace” is now open for pre-registrations and set to be released in the summer of 2024. It will be available on smartphones, tablets (App Store, Google Play), and PCs (Steam).

A demo version is currently accessible on Steam, offering a glimpse of the game’s free-to-play model and promising quality reminiscent of classic SRPGs. The game boasts beautiful pixel art with 3D graphics and features a soundtrack composed by Hitoshi Sakimoto, well-known for his work on titles like “Tactics Ogre,” “Final Fantasy XII,” and “Vagrant Story.” Players are eagerly anticipating the game’s full release and future updates.

From what I can see in the gameplay there are members with abilities to launch powerful area attacks and cast healing magic from a distance, adding strategic depth to troop composition. The demo version allows players to utilize the environment to their advantage, like pushing enemies into water or triggering explosions with barrels. The Steam store page mentions that in-game purchases will not impact the scenario portion or disrupt game balance, addressing concerns about microtransactions in free-to-play titles.
