The Bagman is a forthcoming 16-bit point and click horror adventure from UK-based indie studio BadTasty, who describe themselves as “an independent game studio focused on the weird, quirky, and beautiful.” The Bagman is BadTasty’s very first project, and it’s looking rather ambitious for a debut.
BadTasty is mostly the brainchild of experienced indie developer Nathan Buckley, assisted by freelancers when required.
BadTasty describes The Bagman as follows: “an authentic retro 16-bit horror point and click/survival horror that layers in stealth, commandable NPCs, and gratuitous slasher gore! Time and events continually tick forward.” BadTasty also says that The Bagman has been “inspired by classics and my love of slashers.” Sounds like bloody good fun to us!
BadTasty is aiming to release The Bagman on Sega Genesis/Mega Drive, PC, and as yet unspecified modern consoles, and plans for the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive version do include plans for a physical cartridge release of the game.
A release date for The Bagman has yet to be announced, but you can wishlist the game on Steam right now.
