The Drug Store opens up on the Console Archives Today

You might have thought that Hamster Corporation’s Console Archives releases couldn’t get much more obscure than Human’s convenience store management sim The Conveni, and its sequel, The Conveni 2, but this week’s Console Archives release, The Drug Store, is actually a spin-off title from the Conveni series that was originally released by Human on Playstation in 1998.

As you may have guessed already, The Drug Store is a drugstore management sim, and Hamster Corporation describes the game as follows: “this is a simulation game where you manage a drug store, aim to open many stores, and increase your capital. Manage your business while considering locations, the types of products sold, customer demographics, and build the ultimate drug store! Sometimes, an employee you’ve become close with might even propose original products…?”

Following last week’s Console Archives release of Ripple Island, on which we reported at the time, the Console Archives version of The Drug Store is released today (October 15, 2026) on Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5, priced at $11.99 USD or local equivalent.

As The Drug Store was not originally released outside of Japan, all in-game text is in Japanese only, but the menus and manual are also available in English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish.
