The Last Gas Station, the cozy management simulator about running the world’s last surviving gas station from developer Alawar, has received a major free content update. The update introduces fishing as an entirely new activity, alongside new automation features and rewards that make life at the station even cozier. We last reported on the game a couple of months ago when the release date was announced.
Players can now take a break from serving customers to spend time by the water. Fishing spots have been added across the map, allowing players to discover and catch a variety of fish, including rare and unusual species. Every catch contributes to a collection journal, and completing collections unlocks new decorations for the station.
The update also introduces new automation options for station owners looking to streamline their operations. A new purchasing upgrade can automatically order fuel and goods, while recruitable kitten miners assist with checkout, warehouse work, and deliveries.
To celebrate the update for The Last Gas Station, the game is available at a 22% discount during the Steam Summer Sale until July 9, 2026. Additional content updates for The Last Gas Station are planned as part of its post-launch roadmap.
